CrossTrees Chalet is the perfect place for a weekend getaway, mini-break or to celebrate a special occasion. The chalet is modern and completely self-contained with quality furnishings and breathtaking sea views from every room. The setting among native trees is enhanced by the amazing views over the water. Soak in the spa bath while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The fully self-contained chalet has a super-king size bed, television and stereo with surround sound system. Should you choose to dine in, kitchenette facilities include a microwave, dishwasher, stovetop and electric frypan. A washing machine and dryer are also available for your convenience.
CrossTrees is situated at the end of Te Whau, a beautiful peninsula in the more populated western end of Waiheke Island. Te Whau Peninsula is known for amazing views to the northern part of the island, south over Tamaki Strait and back towards Auckland City. Waiheke Island is renowned for vineyards, olive groves, art and bush walks and all of these can be discovered within walking distance of CrossTrees. Enjoy a swim at high tide, explore the rock pools at low tide, follow the coastal walkway to Kuakarau Bay Forest Reserve or follow the walking route known as the Te Whau Loop. You can also visit Dead Dog Bay Wetland Garden and Sculpture including Momo Gallery, alpacas in the olive grove at Azzuro Groves and wine tasting at Te Whau Vineyard. You may be lucky enough to join "One Table, No Menu" at Te Whau Lodge.
Within a few minutes drive is the Waiheke’s main supermarket and on Saturdays, the famous Ostend Market. Did you know that the native dotterel breeding programme at nearby Whakanewha Regional Park is one of the most successful in New Zealand? There are some scenic walks and picnic spots here too. Enjoy a round at Waiheke Golf Club or take a walk along long, white, sandy Onetangi Beach. Visit the area known as Vineyard Valley including Stonyridge Vineyard, Wild on Waiheke and Te Motu. We can also supply you copies of The Waiheke Island Art Map - A guide to studios and galleries and the Waiheke Island of Wine Map. To explore the eastern part of the island we recommend driving “The Loop Rd” leading to Waiheke's secret fort at Stony Batter Historic Reserve.
