Onetangi

A timeless, character-filled gem perched above the sound of the waves.

This comfortable designer owned bach has views over Onetangi beach and is conveniently located within walking distance to the award winning vineyards and restaurants of the Onetangi wine valley. The open plan modern kitchen and living/dining area look out to sea with french doors opening to a wrap around deck. A cozy window seat in the lounge invites guests to curl up with a book, nap or gaze out at the sea and a heat pump provides comfort year round.

A five to ten minute walk down the hill leads to picturesque Onetangi beach with its 2.5 kilometers of white sand, safe swimming and seaside cafes. The Mariner is in close proximity to a number of Waiheke's well know vineyards and restaurants including Stonyridge, Te Motu, Miro/Casita Miro, Te Whau, Peacock Sky, Passage Rock and Poderi Crisci as well as the iconic Saturday farmers market, Countdown supermarket, Waiheke's new EcoZip line and other lovely local cafes.

Bed configuration: Bedroom 1 - king bed (can be split to singles on request), Bedroom 2 - king bed

Please note: Rates are for two guests. An additional fee of $50 per person up to four guests. A compulsory exit cleaning fee of $150 and linen hire of $20 per person, per stay applies to each booking. Beach towels can also be hired for $5 per person, per stay. Pets considered upon application. Written consent and a $500 bond required for pets. Minimum stays: 7 nights from mid December to mid January, 3 nights remainder of January and all holiday weekends, 2 nights at all other times.

What a amazing place. We loved our stay at Mariner. With 180 degree sea views that you can soak up from the corner couch inside or the outside lounges. You can have dinner inside or out. Wander the sweet garden and sit under the trees. There's only birdsong and the sound of the waves on Onetangi Beach. Beds are super comfy and the hosts are marvelous. Stay here if you can. The stairs down to the beach are just a stone's throw away. Island Bliss. Thank you.

Amazing views of Onetangi from the bach! The bach is a perfect place for a romantic getaway, loved the fact we were allowed to get our two little dogs with us. Well equiped place, would def be coming back.

We had a wonderful honeymoon on Waiheke! The location was great, with a beautiful view to the sea and just a short stroll down the steps to the beach. A truely relaxing place to unwind. Close proximity to wineries and beaches. We couldn’t recommend the place highly enough!

We had a fabulous stay at the Mariner. The King bed was very comfortable and the view from the window seat was my daily favourite place to sit. I liked how there was an iPad that held all the house information on it and Waiheke information. Communication with Stay was detailed and efficient.

Great communication at the beginning to sort out the parking outside the place, was fast and efficient. Nice place to stay, got everything you need if you are cooking. Heat pump worked so well, peaceful view facing the sea but not too noisy. Was handy to book with Stay Waiheke with rental car together. Would book again in the future! Well done!

This property is gorgeous and well appointed - private, close enough to walk to the beach but elevated enough for cooler breezes. Views are just spectacular! Good mod cons: Particularly appreciated the Nespresso machine and Apple TV for Netflix. Note that there is not a washing machine at the property although had all other mod cons and lovely extras. Beds were very comfortable and the ability to sit on the deck and just watch the changing seascape was breathtaking. Absolutely loved it and cannot wait to return!
