Onetangi

This Mediterranean style country cottage is situated on the edge of the vineyard at Cypress Ridge estate with scenic rural views to neighboring Miro/Casita Miro and Obsidian Vineyards.

Cypress Ridge is a working vineyard and olive grove situated in the Onetangi wine valley. Guests are welcome to explore the estate… have a walk through the olive grove and vineyard, enjoy the harvest from the large kitchen garden, find fresh eggs in the hen house, tramp through an acre of native bush with several 1000 year old Puriri trees or picnic in the shade of huge Pohutukawas overlooking the neighbouring vineyards.

The cottage has 1 bedroom with a superking sized bed. There is a full bathroom with rain shower and a small kitchenette with fridge, gas hob and convection microwave in the open plan living area. Bi-fold doors open the lounge on to the patio with gas BBQ and seating area where guests can dine and enjoy this tranquil and private retreat. The cottage has a private spa pool.

The property shares boundaries with several award winning vineyards and restaurants including Miro/Casita Miro, Stonyridge, Te Motu and Obsidian… making spectacular wine and food a short stroll away. A 10-minute walk down the hill leads to picturesque Onetangi beach with its 2.5 kilometers of white sand and a further 10-minutes down the beach leads to the local pub.

The Vineyard Cottage is situated at the end of a gravel road which is suitable for 4 wheel drive vehicles only. Parking for two wheel drive vehicles is approximately 40 metres from the cottage with parking for 4 wheel drive vehicles is just outside the cottage door.

Bed configuration: Bedroom - super king bed.

Please note:
A compulsory exit cleaning/linen charge of $140 applies to each booking. Minimum stays: 7 nights between mid December and mid January, 3 nights remainder of January and all holiday weekends, 2 nights at all other times. Our rates are for two guests.

Wonderful place to stay just gorgeous! Beautiful setting with magical vineyard views, private and romantic. Definitely will be back! Make sure you have a 4 wheel drive you’ll need to get up the driveway with, which was easy to do. Again the place the setting and everything else is simply outstanding

The location is breathtaking- walking out the lounge door and seeing the valley with the vines was just wonderful. It was very comfortable and furnished beautifully - this isn’t just someone’s bach at the beach. Lovely country cottage feel to it. By day you can stroll next door to Casita Miro and pick up a wine to bring back and park up on a beanbag and gaze across the valley. At night you can hear native bird calls (ruru and weka) as you drift off to sleep in a huge comfy bed

One of the best air bnbs I have ever stayed at! Words can’t even begin to describe the magical time spent here. As soon as we arrived we booked another night! The location is what dreams are made of! Tucked away with a beautiful view of the vineyards. The spa pool was perfection, the bed so so comfy, the communication was very quick and helpful. We loved the walk through the vines to get to Te Motu. 100000/10 would recommend and would love to come back. Thank you!

Very cute cottage situated in the vines. I loved the super king bed, it was really comfortable. The cottage is walking distance from a plethora of popular wineries. The view from the spa was incredible and the place had some nice touches such as decent bath products and the towels were lovely. Some things to note: there isn’t an oven, which I already knew from the photos.

What an incredible cottage! My husband and I were away for wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have had somewhere more perfect! Lovely clean comfortable cottage with a lovely outdoors area with a spectacular view. Great location for walks, vineyards and the beach Great having Netflix’s as well. We will stay again for sure.
